ANTI WRINKLE

Botulinum toxin treatment Botox ® Like many medications, Botulinum toxin is developed from a protein that occurs in nature. The FDA has approved Botulinum toxin treatment for specific indications.

It’s been on the market for over two decades and has been used to treat neurological disorders that cause muscle spasms, the treatment of migraines and other medical conditions.

Botox is primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles such as those in the upper face: vertical frown “eleven” lines between eyebrows, “crow’s feet” lines at the corners of the eyes and lines on the forehead.

Botulinum is also used to improve lower face expression lines:

downturned “mouth frown” and prominent neck lines.

It is a safe temporary solution for almost anyone who is troubled by such lines and wrinkles.

FILLERS

What are dermal fillers?

Most dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid (HA) a substance which occurs naturally in the body. Among other functions, HA helps hydrate and add volume to your skin. With age, we replenish our hyaluronic acid at a slower rate. This means the moisturising and plumping effects decrease, making fine lines & wrinkles more apparent.
Dermal fillers help to restore facial contours and improve signs of ageing.

Are dermal fillers suitable for everyone?

Most people are okay to have dermal fillers, as long as they are not allergic to any of the ingredients. If a patient has skin infections, most cosmetic treatments and injections should be avoided.
Patients whose immune response is altered, either by disease or medication, are more likely to have reactions, infection and other complications with filler injections.
During your consultation Dr. Inga will discuss your needs and medical history with you.

Are there any risks or side effects with dermal filler treatments?

Millions of dermal filler treatments have been done uneventfully, over many years. Commonly, there is some pain, redness, bruising, bleeding or swelling as with all injection procedures. These will settle in time - bruises understandably, last a bit longer after injection into the lips. All injection treatments have a small risk of infection.

Dr. Inga will discuss side effects and post treatment reactions during consultation.

How long do dermal fillers last?

The effects will last generally between 6 months to a year, sometimes longer.

What areas can be treated?

Typical areas patients request treatment for are around the eyes, the mouth or nasal labial folds. Hollowing, flattening and loss of volume shows mainly in the lips, cheeks and chin areas.

SKIN PEELS

Treat skin ageing, brighten and condition skin with medical-grade Chemical Peels

Skin peels (chemical peels) are among the most rapidly growing non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. Many patients are opting to rejuvenate their skin with medical grade skin peels.

Peels do not just remove the surface layers of skin. Instead, advanced chemical peels are designed to penetrate skin layers in a controlled manner, for skin tightening and collagen inducing benefits. In the process, they increase the shedding of surface layers of your skin to reveal the healthy layers underneath.

Skin peels are effective for treating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, mild scarring, certain types of acne, age spots and hyperpigmentation, as well as improving the look and feel of your skin.

Dr Inga will discuss the various peels with you and what you can expect from your treatment during your consultation.
