​What is Morpheus 8

Morpheus8 is an innovative skin tightening method using radio-frequency Microneedling, to treat loose skin, double chin and an undefined jaw line.  What sets it apart from some other laser treatments is that it can be used on any skin tone, with minimal downtime.

Morpheus8 treatment hit the headlines in 2020 when Judy Murray underwent the treatment with great results.  Since then other celebrities have publicised their treatment with Morpheus8.  Morpheus8 not only tightens lax skin, but coagulates sub-dermal fat, giving a more youthful appearance to your skin.  

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive treatment using Microneedling to deliver radio frequency energy deep into your skin and sub-dermal fat.  This treatment triggers your body to produce new collagen and elastin to restore a more youthful appearance to your skin.  

Morpheus8 can be applied anywhere on your body, treating the skin on your abdominal wall, buttocks, arms or legs, as well as the skin on your face and neck.

Morpheus 8 works by using radiofrequency (RF) micro needling. This device has needles that enter the skin and deliver heat to the lower layers of the skin. This process of heating and cooling the skin helps to stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a protein in our skin that provides structure and elasticity. As we age, our collagen production declines, which is why wrinkles and fine lines start to form. The increased collagen production from Morpheus 8 treatments can lead to tighter, smoother skin.

During Your Treatment

Treatment with Morpheus 8 is relatively comfortable and takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. During treatment, you will feel a warmth as the RF energy penetrates your skin. Some patients compare the sensation to a hot stone massage.

How long until I see results?

The short answer is that you will start to see results after your first treatment with Morpheus 8. You will notice that your skin is tighter and firmer.

Morpheus 8 treatments are usually done in a series of 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, some patients may start seeing noticeable results after just one treatment. The full effects of Morpheus 8 treatments can take up to 6 months to appear. During your consultation we will create a custom program for you.

One of the best things about Morpheus 8 is that results are cumulative, which means that they get better with each treatment.

Morpheus vs Other Skin Tightening Procedures

​

Morpheus is unique among other skin tightening procedures because it delivers RF energy directly to the deep layers of skin where collagen production occurs. This results in both immediate and long-lasting tightening of the skin. Other procedures, such as laser resurfacing or chemical peels, only work on the surface of the skin and do not stimulate collagen production.

Injectable treatments such as Anti-Wrinkle Treatment or dermal fillers can temporarily improve the appearance of wrinkles but do not provide any lasting lift or tightening effect. Surgery is often very invasive and requires a long recovery period; moreover, it does not always produce natural-looking results.
